Make this Mother’s Day special either for yourself, or your loved ones. From schools being changed to online, to workplaces being shut down, it’s been a long, hard, couple of years. As life is finally getting back to normal, or our new normal, our mothers deserve something special in celebration of them. 

If you don’t know what to do this Mother’s Day, here’s a list of some events going on in Arizona. Check them out!

Brought to you by the West Valley Women Networking group is this special Mother’s Day luncheon. Think about what you’d like to share because every attendee will get the chance to share their own favorite/special “mom” moments. 

For the first 30 minutes of the event you’ll go through the registration and reception process. Then from noon until the end of the event you’ll get to enjoy your lunch and their program.

When: 3 - 4 p.m. May 8

This limited class is for all kids 7 and older. Any child 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Open to kids of all levels and experience, everyone will get to bring their Mother’s Day themed cake home as a treat for their mom to enjoy on her special day. Participants get to dive into the culinary world, and put their creative minds to the task of decorating this beautiful, yummy present.

Remember, wear close-toed shoes because the floor can get pretty slippery throughout the baking process.

Ling’s Wok Shop is throwing a Mother’s Day special! For only $26, stop by the restaurant for a special 2-course meal off of their limited time menu. Some offered small bites include sake-poached shrimp with wasabi cocktail sauce and steamed dumplings with soy-ginger broth. Some of their main entrees include szechwan sea bass with spicy citrus-soy and pineapple salsa, blazing salmon with spicy ginger-garlic soy, and surf and turf with grass-fed beef and shrimp. For your $26 you’ll get to choose an item off of their small bites and entree menu!

If you’re looking to spend the whole afternoon at FOUND:RE, you can, full Mother’s Day schedule at FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel found here.

Events will be going on until 3 p.m. In addition to the yoga class there’s also a brunch and Astrology and Tarot Card Readings for Dogs from Cosmic Hour. The Doga starts at 10 a.m. 

The class will be taught by CorePower instructor Christina Mierzejewski, where you and your pup can bond while you get some exercise. While you strike all your favorite yoga poses, your kids can participate in a painting session! Your mind will be free of worry while they stay occupied painting you a special Mother’s Day gift. Afterwards, stop at the Selfie Station with your dog for a keepsake to remember your special day.

Skip the store bought arrangements for Mother’s Day this year and create your own! Professionals will teach you tips and tricks throughout the class, and, at the end you’ll be able to go home with your own exquisite flower arrangement to display. Next time someone comes in and admires your bouquet, you can tell them you put them together yourself! At the end of the class, for an additional $35, you can purchase your own tools (floral tape, scissors, and a rose stripper) to bring home with you.

Stop by the Staples Shopping Center for food, music, 50/50 raffles, shopping, and more from their featured vendors! Proceeds from the event will go towards the Mohave County First Responders Foundation.

A perfect event for all ages! Gather up your family and head over to the historic Courthouse Plaza! At the event you’ll find fine art vendors, coffee roasters, live entertainment, artists demonstrations, and interactive art activities. The 501c(3) non-profit organization, The Mountain Artists Guild, has been hosting this event since 1953 with the intention of promoting visual arts in the Greater Prescott Area. New this year, the festival is introducing a variety of coffee vendors!

There will be over 100 fine art vendors at the event! If you’re interested in showcasing your work, visit their website to submit an application.

When: Check-In, 7 a.m. May 7
Where: 12205 N. Tangerine Farms Rd, Marana
Cost: $30 (Kids run free)

On Your Left Fitness is partnering with the Town of Marana for their first of the spring #RUNMARANA series. The event is all about honoring moms! The race starts at Gladden Farms Community Park and takes you along their course full of staff, aid stations, and volunteers. If you’d like, you can install the RaceJoy app, which will give you directions during your run and allow your family and friends to virtually track you on race day! The first 200 registered runners will get a medal, so if you’re interested, sign up now! The price increases to $40 on race day. 

When you register you will automatically be entered into their raffle. There will be two fitness themed prize packs given away after each race. The free kids race starts at 8:45 a.m.

Get excited to browse among over 100 vendors at Vintage & Vino’s Mother’s Day installment. Full of one of a kind items and treasures from local vendors, you’ll find everything from antiques, to furniture, attire, homegoods, handmade/up-cycled items, and jewelry. You can also expect to find some signage and decor to bring home. There’ll also be make-and-takes! In this area you get to make a variety of gifts, or just sit in and learn from one of their featured painting and decor pros. 

Take a seat in their lounge area, get some food, and enjoy live acoustic music. Mimosas, glasses of wine, craft beer, as well as non-alcoholic beverages are available to purchase at the event. Can’t find a sitter? Don’t worry because the event has its own kids craft area!
