Do you have your plans set for St. Patrick’s Day? If not, don’t fret because you’re in luck! There’s so many events being brought to the greater Phoenix area to help you celebrate the history of Saint Patrick. So, choose your event, get decked out in everything green you can find in your closet, and cheers to this year’s St. Paddy’s Day festivities. 

Keep in mind, there are a ton of different bar crawls in just about every city near Phoenix! I only covered a couple to showcase other events if bar hopping isn’t your thing, but if it is, there’s plenty more to choose from at various times and locations.

When: 3 - 10 p.m., Mar. 17

Peacock Wine Bar is giving you the best way to spend your St. Paddy’s Day in a nice, relaxing environment full of great food and drinks. Their menu features Green and Gold Bubbles, Green Beer, St. Paddy’s 75, Green Peacock Board, Green Fondue, Green Hummus and Veggies, and Green Desserts. Everything is green for the holiday! Be amazed as you watch the beautiful, clear waters of Fountain Hill’s World Famous Fountain turn emerald green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Since the early 1980s the transformation of the fountain has been a tradition and is still going strong in 2022.

Coming to Tempe by Crawl With Us, the Largest Bar Crawl Company in the Nation, is the 5th Annual Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl. Calling themselves the “Luckiest Bar Crawl of the Year,” this St. Paddy’s Day celebration they’re expecting over 2,500 attendees. Your ticket will not only gain you free entry to the list of participating bars, but you also get complimentary drinks or shots, exclusive drink specials, and access to their after party starting at 10 p.m. at Varsity Tavern. 

If there’s any time to go overboard with your costume, it’s now! If you win the Costume Contest, there will be a $1,000 grand prize! Be ready to hit Casa Tempe, Fat Tuesday, Handlebar Tempe, Mill Cue Club (where you’ll check in), Rodeo Ranch, Sunbar, and Varsity Tavern.

Buy your ticket in advance to ensure your spot at their most popular event of the year! Taking place on the Terrace of Topgolf, it’s open to all experience levels, so whether yoga is part of your weekly routine, or if you’ve been looking into trying yoga, this event is for you! If you don’t have your own mat, there are some available to borrow. Remember, the theme is GREEN OUT, so deck yourself out for St. Patrick’s Day. Either head home after your workout, or spend your afternoon at Topgolf. 

There will be optional pre and post yoga drinks and food for you. There will be a bar (with drink specials) dedicated to the group. If you want to play golf after your yoga session, you’ll receive a discount.

The largest, annual, St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl in Scottsdale is back! Your ticket gets you the St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl kit. This kit gets you deals at the 10+ Old Town bars that are participating in the event. Look forward to exclusive drink specials at all the venues, free welcome shot tickets at select venues, and free entry to the St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl after parties. When you check in you’ll also get a free St. Patty’s Day necklace to compliment your festive, green attire.

Shamrockin Fun Run and Walk is making its debut with its first annual race. You’ll start the free race on Victory Blvd. and Grandview (Blue Loop) finishing at The Vic. The race totals up to 2.1 miles. Before you go, keep in mind that there’s no designated parking, so your best bet is to be dropped off at the start line. 

After you cross the finish line, the fun festivities begin! Join in on their No Shower Happy Hour, enjoy music at The Vic Patio, try to win the costume prize, and guzzle down some green beer to get in the St. Paddy’s Day spirit. All well deserved after a nice evening of exercise! If you want something to bring home in honor of the race you can purchase a commemorative tee for $35.

Impress your friends and family by displaying your beautiful, St. Paddy’s Day themed cookies. With instruction by Vicke, from Mae’s Cookie Jar, you’ll be taught step by step how to decorate your six holiday themed cookies. Your ticket covers the cookies and any decorating materials you’ll need as she teaches the basics of outlining, flooding, wet on wet, and brush decorating techniques.

Partake in the Town of Fountain Hills Irish Fountain Fest, as they “shamROCK the Hills.” This festival opens at 11 a.m. From there you’ll watch the greening of the fountain at noon, then from 1 – 2 p.m., enjoy live music from Kilted Spirit Band. From 2 – 3 p.m. Mesa Pipe and Drum Band will take over the entertainment until Traveler – Celtic Rock Band takes over from 3 – 5 p.m. There will be another greening of the fountain taking place at 4 p.m.! 

It’s the perfect family-friendly event with their Kids Zone area. Look forward to trying various foods from different food trucks while listening to live music. And, don’t forget to stop over at the Beer Garden which will be open throughout the entire duration of the event.

Bowl your way through St. Paddy’s day while you enjoy some authentic Irish cuisine at Mavrix. Enjoy $4 Green Beers as you aim for a strike on their lit up green lanes. More information will be coming soon on specific details! Although their menu is subject to change, right now they’ll be having a Corn Beef and Cabbage Plate, Shamrock Pizza, Reuben Sandwiches, and Irish Nachos.

The “Greenest Day in the Desert,” is back in person for 2022! Making its way through downtown Phoenix, the parade starts on 3rd Street and Oak Street. As the largest St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Arizona, get ready for all day entertainment featuring live Irish Music, Irish step-dancing, and more. There’s something for everyone in your family to enjoy from their Children’s play area, to their Irish Clubs. The event also offers food and beverages, Irish crafts and merchandise, Genealogy, and more.
