There’s so much going on that it’s difficult to narrow down a list of events to feature. So, even if there’s not something here that interests you (or is in your budget), a few Google searches will help you find something. 

I chose events central to those who live in the Southwest region of the United States, so it’s all relatively close and you won’t be spending your whole weekend traveling.

Brought to you by XClass Travel and Singles Travel Group is this all inclusive (adults only) getaway at one of Cancun’s world-renowned resorts. Your whole itinerary is laid out for you, full of parties and events from the second you land until the second you depart. Of course, all events are optional.

Vegas can be overwhelming, there’s flashing lights everywhere drawing your attention every which way. It can be hard to choose where to go. That’s where Desert Drip comes in. This premier weekend experience comes around four weekends of the year, one of those being Labor Day. 

Over the course of 4 days and nights, you’ll get access to 8 pool parties and nightclubs. The Super Pass grants you access to over 20 headliners between the Exodus and Desert Drip Festival. 

Featured venues include Hakkasan Nightclub, Encore Beach Club, Jewel Nightclub, Daylight Beach Club, and XS Nightclub. Lil Jon, Ludacris, Tyga, Swae Lee, and Major Lazer, are just some of the scheduled headliners that’ll take the stage over the weekend.

For one price, you’ll get to party the long weekend away with 10 artists. This year brings you the 12th Las Vegas Exodus Festival, getting you into the biggest pool parties and nightclubs in the world, all located right in Sin City. 

With 10 parties at the tip of your fingertips, you get to enjoy concerts by the Chainsmokers, Diplo, Kaskade, Alesso, Kygo, and Marshmello, just to name a few. Forget waiting in lines, your All Access Pass will grant you expedited entry into the scheduled events.

I personally think that this is such a cool event. You get to watch 70 hot air balloons fill and light up the early morning hours, before taking off over beautiful Colorado Springs. I can just imagine how remarkable it would be watching these massive balloons turn into little specks as they fly out to the mountains.

If you’re not a morning person, they also have Balloon Glows that take place Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. A different ambience takes place as the sun is setting. As dusk quickly approaches, the balloons glow brighter and brighter to light up the night sky.

Purchasing a VIP Pass gets you access to reserved seating in their lounge. You also get food, drinks, a parking pass, private restroom, and a chance to win two free balloon rides from Rainbow Ryders. 

Additionally, there will be a happy hour, Balloons, Brews, and Bites, taking place 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3 – 4. Orangetheory will be starting up the first annual 5k Labor Day Lift Off this year on Sept. 4, and there will be a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Eating Contest with prizes involved!

Cost: $150 per vehicle

“Stay Together, Play Together,” is the motto for the Labor Day Safari. This is the ultimate event for anyone who enjoys four wheeling. The event is based around the Moab Rim Campark, but participants can stay wherever they want. 

You can check out their site for the event trails featured daily. With the $150 fee, you’ll get access to the daily trail runs led by Red Rock 4-Wheelers, a hot breakfast and dinner, an Ice Cream Social Sunday night sponsored by iDeal Off-Road and Hard Rock 4×4, and 50% off a reserved RV or tent site at the Moab Rim Campark. 

Whatever your comfort level is regarding off-roading, they’ll have a course for you. Everyday will have a mix of moderate, medium, and challenging trails that you can participate in.

Get ready for the biggest Yacht Party in L.A. coming back for its 8th annual year! With over 400 party-goers, the yacht has 3 decks, and 2 DJs (2 floors of music) to help you celebrate Labor Day. 

With an “all-star line-up of L.A.’s top DJs,” be ready to dance the night away surrounded by beautiful ocean views. This year’s event will feature music by DJ Prophet.

Get ready for the 5th all-inclusive Castle Rock Beer fest, brought to you by 105 West Brewing Co. There will be over 20 breweries, distilleries, and more, set up at the Philip S. Miller Amphitheater. There will also be over 6 food trucks! Don’t worry about choosing where to get your food from because the chefs will be serving hors d’oeuvre size portions of their signature dishes. You’ll have enough room in your stomach to try it all!

For entertainment, lay back and listen while featured funk band Wildlove Tigress, and That Arena Rock Show take the stage.
